People that follow William Branham are focused on what he had to say. But why would I want to listen to him?
True stories?
If I wanted to hear someone's 'experiences', I would read biographies of people who told the truth about their lives. Even William Branham's biography fails to separate truth from fiction.
Part of a special group?
If I wanted to be in an exclusive club, I would join 'Freemasons' or 'The Mystic Order of the Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm'...or a hockey team.
True doctrine?
If I was interested in hearing about the church ages or seals, I would read Clarence Larkin's original writings on these subjects.
Truth or fiction?
If I wanted to hear fables of mystical clouds, bridges collapsing, and voices talking at rivers, I would read a fiction novel.
Was he a prophet?
If I wanted to hear someone exalt their 'prophet', I would join the Mormons or Ladder Day Saints.
What did he say about women?
If I wanted to see women forced to dress a certain way, I would become Islamic or Amish.
What was his stand on racism?
If I wanted to hear about superiority and racism, I would become part of the Ku Klux Klan.
Why do his followers condemn me?
If I wanted to hear people condemn others to Hell for leaving their religion, I would join a Cult.
What should I do?
Read the Word of God and trust the Lord to lead you into all Truth and guide you with His Spirit.
- No one who trusts in You will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others. Show me the right path O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by Your truth and teach me, for You are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in You.[1]
