    Quotes of William Branham

Jesus said, "If you have the faith of a mustard seed..." Why did He like a mustard seed? Kale and spinach mixed together makes rafe, but mustard won't mix with nothing, Mustard--genuine mustard, you ain't hybreeding it; it's mustard. Men who are born of the Spirit of God is God's sons and daughters. They don't mix with the world, They're not hybrid; they stay with God; they stay with His program; they stay with His Spirit. They don't want none of the hybrid stuff. Don't make any difference how big and polished the other churches look; how big and polished the congregation looks; how glamorous and what great gatherings they have, that don't faze them a bit.[1]

Now, a mustard seed is the smallest of seeds, which it was spoke of Him. But why did He say that? You cannot hybrid--hybreed mustard. It won't cross with nothing. It you can hybreed kale, get...?... and so forth. But you can't hybreed mustard. It won't cross. No, sir. It's genuine mustard. And if you've got great big faith, a miracle will happen. But if you've got just a little bit of faith, and it's genuine mustard seed, watch it bring you right on through every case, and bring you right out. See?[2]

What did Eve try to do? Hybreed it, mix it with something. You've got to take it the way God spoke it. It won't mix with nothing. No, sir. Jesus one time said, "If you had the faith like a mustard seed..." I'm told that mustard seed won't hybreed. You can't mix it with nothing. You can mix other grains, but you can't mix mustard seed (See?), 'cause it won't hybreed. And if you've got that kind of faith, that's one--taking one Word of God...[3]

Jesus said when He was here, "If you have faith like a mustard seed, would say to this mountain..." Why did He refer to mustard seed? Mustard seed won't hybreed. It's genuine mustard seed. It will not take breeding with nothing. And He said, otherwise, "If you have that much faith, God's Word, that won't hybreed to unbelief, or question it... Oh, I feel religious. That you won't question it...[4]

Now we find out, and over here in--in the Book of Matthew, the 13th chapter, Jesus still brands any discrepancy to His Word as being "the Devil." And this 1956, anything that sows discrepancy, contrary to the written Word of God, or puts any private interpretation to It, is the seed of discrepancy. God will not honor it. He can't. It won't mix. It certainly will not. It's like mustard seed; it won't mix with anything else, you can't hybreed it, it's got to be the genuine thing. Seed of discrepancy![5]
