    Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus

There are many prophecies in the Bible. The following sample of Biblical prophecies are about the end times, and various other prophecies not relating to Jesus. It is interesting to note that Prophecies did not end with the Old Testament, but continued on through the Apostles in the New Testament. The Book of Revelation, written by John the Disciple, is also called a prophecy.

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. (Revelation 1:3)

    Prophecy about the end-times

The Bible often talks about "the last days". The Apostle Peter wrote that "one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." (II Peter 3:8) William Branham taught that the phrase "the last days" refers to a period of two thousand years (two, one thousand year days). By identifying when "the last days" began, we can estimate when "the last days" will end.

Peter stood up in the midst of them and said, "These are not drunk, as you suppose they are, seeing this is the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet, Joel. (Joel 2:28) "And it shall come to pass in the last days. (Last days plural, two days, last two thousand years) saith God, 'I'll pour out My Spirit upon all flesh (Jew, Gentile, Greek, bond, or free, male or female) I'll pour out My Spirit upon all flesh and they shall prophesy, My sons and daughters. I'll show signs in the heavens above and in the earth below, Pillars of Fire and vapors of smoke.'"
