Jesus said that he came from God, and would go back to God (John 13:3).  The meaning of this is revealed in the book of Acts, when the Pillar of Fire says: "I am Jesus" (Acts 9:3-6).  Jesus was the Word that had come from God, and descended into Adam's race to become the [[Son of God]] and [[Son of Man]].  After his resurrection, Jesus returned to Heaven, to the glory that he had with the Father before the world was. The Word first became flesh in the life of Jesus Christ, and again became flesh on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit anointed over 120 disciples waiting for the promise of the Father.
