Are you going to the wrong church?

Some more progressive Message followers (if there is such a thing) would look to followers of Jesus outside of the message and call them their brothers and sisters. They view the Message as correct but also think that there is validity in other churches. They base this on statements that William Branham made on not leaving the church you attend. But is this truly representative of what William Branham taught?

William Branham said, "Don't leave your church!"

Organizations are good:

I have deep respect for every organization, and I think we're all good, every one of them. I will not talk against them because I have many fine brethren in every one of them. And never on the platform, under the visions, have I ever seen the Holy Spirit challenge anybody and tell them they was in the wrong church. I've never had it done.
He will tell them just exactly what kind of—of what church they belong to and—and different things like that. But never did He ever challenge anybody's faith, and say you belong to the wrong church.[1]
Little eaglet, that been dissatisfied. Now, I'm not telling you to leave your denomination. If you're Baptist, remain a Baptist. If you're a Presbyterian, remain that. But what I'm trying to tell you to do, is step out on Jehovah's wings once. You're eagle. Your church don't believe in Divine healing, you don't believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost, you don't believe in this being borned again, step out one time and find out the promise. Jesus said, "Except a man be borned again, he can't even understand the Kingdom of God."[2]
Now you are here this morning for some reason. See? Why, why are you here anyhow? There is a little tinkle in there that tells you. Now, I'm not saying leave your church. You go to your church a better person than you was when you left it, and you'll be a light that's set upon a hill, a candle that's lit and not covered with a basket. You'll have Eternal Life. [3]
Now, I'm not saying leave your church. No, sir. Stay right there where you're at, just be a real Holy Ghost filled person in that church. You say, "Well, I don't know what my pastor will say." He'll appreciate you if you are, if he's a man of God. That's right.[4]

William Branham said, "Get out of that denominational church!"

In the later stages of his ministry, William Branham became almost violently opposed to denominations because they were rejecting what he taught. This is why most followers of the Message believe that to be in a a non-Message church is to accept the mark of the beast.

You Presbyterians, you Methodists, and Baptists, and Lutherans, and this Full Gospel Business Men's stuff, saying they're "coming in," turned away the Message. Your church will. There'll be individuals in there, sure. But, not the church; you have to come out of the church, to get It. See? That's right. Individuals is all right.[5]
Now, even Luther, who had the Truth and taught the church "the just shall live by faith." You don't want to hang onto that being the full doctrine, in the Methodist age. What shall you do? Burn it with fire. What was the type of? The denomination that comes out of that Word is a shuck, the stalk, the husks, must be burnt with fire. That denominational part that it come through must not remain, got to die. Don't leave it till the breaking of another—another age, burn it up! He's talking now to the Bride here, just the Bride, coming up through every age.[6]
There where that great man, that great Pentecostal man, Jehoshaphat, got mixed up with the wrong crowd. And that's what happened to our Pentecostals today. There's some real men in there, but they're mixed up in that denominational crowd. Get out of that thing! It's cursed of the Lord![7]
