Message believers have stated that since nothing of any biblical substance can be empirically “proven”, faith is required in order to treat any of it as fact.  It is therefore reckless to hold William Branham to a different standard, and therefore, illogical to expect his followers to abandon belief in him on the basis of factual evidence.

Message Believers have told us that Elijah's vindication on Mt. Carmel, and the very existence of Jesus, are two examples of things that are true, but that simply cannot be proved.  Therefore, nothing about William Branham's life can be un-proven.
