On January 20, 2007, Hillary Clinton announced the formation of a presidential exploratory committee, with the intention to become a Candidate for President in the United States in the 2008 presidential election.  As of April 2008 it is assumed that the final candidate for the Democrats may not be determined until August 2008, as both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama continue to fight fiercly for their party nomination.
