God spoke to the prophet Moses out of the burning bush and said "I AM THAT I AM".  The Name "I Am" is the last three letters of the Hebrew word for [[Jehovah]].  A great light later appeared to Paul the Apostle, and a voice said: "I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest".  Jesus also said of himself: "before Abraham was, I am."

The "I Am" is the eternal and only God of the Old Testament.  He is also the eternal and only God of the New Testament. His name is Jesus.
When Moses asked God his name, God replied: ''I AM THAT I AM'' <ref name="Exodus 3:14"> Exodus 3:14</ref>.  The Name "I Am" ('''הוה''') is the last three letters of the Hebrew word for "the existing One", and is the present tense of the Hebrew language.
