Is this a clear prophecy, or is it simply a man asking God for something?
=Why did he think Billy Paul was the fulfillment of this prayer?=

Is this a clear prophecy?  '''Or is it simply a man asking God for something?'''  Certainly if Joseph had never been born, we could not have pointed back at this event, as we can with the [[The Brown Bear Vision|vision of the Brown Bear]] or [[The Vision of the Meetings in South Africa|the vision of the meetings in South Africa]] and state that the vision was not fulfilled.  William Branham does not mention a vision at this time.  It is '''only mentioned after the fact'''.

==Vision only mentioned after the fact==
*William Branham does not mention a vision until after Joseph was born.
*After Joseph is born, he states that he had a vision showing his son's birth.
*William Branham then claimed it wasn't a vision, but was just something he felt was coming from the Lord.
*Then he later states that he did have a clear vision that Joseph would be born.

Another issue is that, if you read the quotes below, William Branham never indicated in advance of the birth that he had seen a vision.  Then later, after Joseph is born, he states that he had a vision showing his son's birth.  Then he subsequently states it wasn't a vision but was just something he felt was coming from the Lord.  He then later states that he did have a clear vision that he would have a son and that he was to name him Joseph.  Is that a clear prophecy?
    Is this a clear prophecy?

Based on this, the birth of Joseph Branham cannot be considered to have been a clear prophecy given publicly before the fact that was later clearly fulfilled.
