::"The Christian life is far more than sin management. Behavior modification that's not empowered by God's heart changing grace is self-righteous, as repugnant to God as the worst sins people gossip about. Children who grow up with graceless truth are repelled by self-righteousness and attracted to the world's slickly-marketed grace-substitutes." (Randy Alcorn, The Grace and Truth Paradox)
::"I have come to see legalism, in its pursuit of false purity, as an elaborate scheme of grace avoidance. You can know the law by heart without knowing the heart of it." (Philip Yancey, What's So Amazing About Grace?)

::"The love of God is not a matter of calculation and accountancy. The trouble with [Job's friends] is that their thinking leaves no room for unmerited suffering, and therefore no room for unmerited grace, or for unmerited anything. Not only is the cross not at the center of their theology - it is not there at all. While Job holds to faith alone in the midst of his suffering, his friends seem to spend their energies doing the very opposite, seeking to avoid suffering altogether and doing so in the name of faith. As Job summarizes their attitude later in [Job Chapter 6], "you see something dreadful, and are afraid" (6:21)." ~ Mike Mason (The Gospel According to Job)
::"And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him." (John 9:1-3)

::In the Bible, there is no record that the rich man in hell was the same young man that questioned Jesus. Perhaps the Rich Young Ruler's name was Joses (Acts 4:36), but that is speculation. One thing is for certain: there was a reason that Jesus loved him…because only God sees the heart. As message believers, I think we got the story of the Rich Young Ruler all wrong.

::Have you ever heard this scripture referenced in a message church?  "As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear." (Proverbs 25:12)
Have you ever heard this quote from William Branham in a message church? "And as long as you wear it, it's a mark of a heathen. Now, I just come back from Africa, and I've been in the Hottentot jungles and found out just exactly where earrings, where all that stuff come, and all this, a lot of jewelry wrapped your necks and ears and everything, where that comes from. It's the heathens. And the Bible don't want a Christian to be a heathen." (August 5, 1956)

::English translations are not always transparent as to the underlying Hebrew words. For example, the NIV translates Deuteronomy 22:5(a) as, “A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing…”. It appears to be a simple comparison of men, women, and clothing. But this simplifies the underlying Hebrew words. Using the most common English translation of each Hebrew word, in order, results in: “No become utensil man against wife, no put man clothes wife”. BUT, while this is difficult to read, the differences now become more clear:
#The word for “woman” is isha. Adam called Eve “isha” (woman) in Genesis 2:23, because she was taken from “ish” (man). Isha often refers to a wife.
#The word for “man” is geber, which often includes imagery of strength.
#The word for “woman’s clothing” is “simlat”, which is not a common word. Strong’s concordance includes the phrase, “the idea of a cover assuming the shape of the object beneath”. A man in a woman’s “simlat” may be attempting to assume the shape of a woman.
#the word for “man’s clothing” is “keli”, which is translated in other scriptures as “utensil, “vessel”, “article”, “armour”, and “weapon”.
#While a man is not supposed to “put on” woman’s clothing, the woman is not supposed to “wear, become, or have” a man’s “keli”. This indicates that what is translated as a man’s garment is different in nature than the woman’s garment in the same scripture.
::So other possible meanings of this scripture are:
#A woman should not carry weapons (apparently some women in Israel are exempt from military service if they hold to this religious interpretation).
#A man should not bear arms against his wife,
#A man should not dress up like a woman, or
#A man shouldn’t wear his wife’s clothes.
::Studying the underlying Hebrew words suggest that is more to this scripture than just a simple comparison. In most of the alternative interpretations, it puts more responsibility on the man and not on the woman.

::Does it concern you that the word "Ages" is not found in the Book of Revelation?
::William Branham said, "It isn't something that's written in the Book, It's something that's been hid in the Book. 'For whosoever shall take one word from It or add one word to It.' So it is a mystery that's been in the Book in these seven church ages." (July 18, 1965, Spiritual Food in Due Season). This is the scripture William Branham was referring to: “If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:” (Revelation 22:18b)

::Saint Columba was born on December 7, 521 AD and died on June 9, 597 AD. William Branham said that he was the angel to the Thyatiran Church age, which he said started in 606 AD and continued through to 1520 AD. Do you find it concerning that Columba was dead before the Thyatiran church age started, or that William Branham copied the dates for the Thyatiran church age directly from Clarence Larkin?  http://en.believethesign.com/index.php/Columba

::''Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body. Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.'' ~ Hebrews 13:1-13

::"When I say I am a believer, I mean that I believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for my sin, and that God raised him from the dead. I do not put any hope of salvation or heavenly position in William Branham, or any other person who claims to be a prophet. The Holy Spirit is greater than the spirit of Elijah, and my hope is in Christ and not man."

::Is the message reality, or conjecture? Here is what one message believer has posted on this site as proof in support of the message.
::"William is composed of three words: WILL I AM. Will has a number of meanings one is to an Heir who receives instructions and a legacy through a testators will. The other is in the form of a question will you do this? and finally as an Answer eg Yes I WILL. We now I AM is God Himself, Jesus Christ. Marrion - is two words: MARRY and ON. Branham is also two words: BRAN and HAM. Thats a total of SEVEN words. BRAN is a cereal which has a purging effect on the body. To me this types the purging / scouring and preaching style of Br Branham. HAM is a meat forbidden to the Jews. This message is for all the Gentiles (and believing Jews) So taking this to its perfect (in my view and I believe Gods) completion: GOD WILL MARRY ON the Gospel Message (BRAN) and meat (HAM) His Gentile Bride [She is gentile: The term Gentile (from Latin gentilis, by the French "gentil", female: "gentille", meaning of or belonging to a clan or tribe) ]. GOD WILL MARRY ON BRANHAM."
::We ask for evidence, and this is what we get? Really?
*November 29, 2012
::We are hearing the phrase "absence of evidence is not evidence of absence" with respect to the Bridge vision and other prophecies. This is a phrase that can be appropriate at times. However, there are other times when absence is appropriate evidence.
::This concept is illustrated well by a story written by Hans Christian Anderson and published in 1837 "about two weavers who promise an Emperor a new suit of clothes that is invisible to those unfit for their positions, stupid, or incompetent. When the Emperor parades before his subjects in his new clothes, a child cries out, "But he isn't wearing anything at all!" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Emperor's_New_Clothes)
::If you chose to use the "absence of evidence is not evidence of absence" as a basis for your faith that all of William Branham's prophecies came to pass, don't be surprised when someone honestly says that they can't see things the way you are seeing them.
