	In the Old Testament, the prophet Job was rebuked by the LORD for maintaining his own righteousness when God took his posessions and weath. In the New Testament, a rich young ruler told [[Jesus]] that he had kept all of the commandments from his youth; however, he was troubled when Jesus asked him to sell all his posessions and follow Jesus. ~~This ruler did~~ not ~~understand that righteousness is only found in following Jesus,~~ the ~~Word. William Branham taught~~ that ~~Jesus referred to this same man~~ in the ~~parable of the rich man calling to Abraham from hell, asking for Lazarus to bring some relief from his torment, and warning to his family~~.
