This Angel simply compared himself to other servants, prophets, and ALL WHO OBEY what's written in the book; thus declaring that he must not be worshipped.  Scripture never says that this angel is a man and never states that he is a prophet who walked on the earth either in the past or future.  Why would William Branham think that this was referring to him?  Doesn't that come across as being just a little presumptuous?

''I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, 9 but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”<ref>The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Wheaton: Standard Bible Society, 2001), Re 22:8–9.</ref>
In [[Revelation 22:8-9|Revelation 22:9]], the disciple John fell at the feet of an Angel to worship him, but the angel said "do it not: for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the prophets".  William Branham said this proves that the Angel was a prophet, but this only works in the KJV, as other translations say:
*NCV: I am a servant like you, your brothers the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book:
*NLT: No, don’t worship me. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers the prophets, as well as all who obey what is written in this book.
*Amplified: I am [only] a fellow servant along with yourself and with your brethren the prophets and with those who are mindful of and practice [the truths contained in] the messages of this book.
*ESV: I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book.
201 You know, a angel is a messenger, but do you know the messenger was a prophet? You believe that? Let's prove it. Revelation 22: let's see if it was a eagle. See, he was… Sure he was an angel; he was a messenger. But it was a prophet that revealed this whole Book of Revelation to him. Revelation the 22nd chapter and the 19th verse, I believe that's right if I've got it written down here: 22:19.
214 Now, watch. Isn't the prophet that we're looking to come, some man anointed with the—with the Spirit like Elijah? It won't be Elijah, of course, but it'll be a man like that will come down, and his very ministry is to send, to restore back to this fallen people through these denominational twists, back to the original faith of the fathers. 63-0322 - The Fifth Seal
