Rise of a Woman in America: Difference between revisions

*Hillary Clinton campaigned unsuccessfully to become the first woman Democratic candidate for President of the United States in the 2008 presidential election. Her defeat to Barack Obama is only a sign that the power of women in America is rising, but can still rise higher in the future. 

*On August 29, 2008 Republican Presidential nominee John McCain presented Gov. Sarah Palin as the Republican nominee for Vice President of the United States. If the Republicans are successful, this nomination would put a woman first in the line of Presidential succession behind an aging President. 

In the sermon [http://www.thefreeword.com/books/6863-L.pdf Souls in Prison Now] William Branham was expounding on the scripture "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man" (I Timothy 2:12) when he said, ''But they make her a ruler of the land: mayor, governor; soon she will be President. Sure. There you are. That's the way--that's way it goes. See? And people does that, because they don't care about this Word.''  It remains to be seen whether this unrelated comment could be fulfilled in Gov. Palin's career.
