It is true that birds do fly into lights, hundreds are killed worldwide every night in our big cities. That is why there is a push on for big buildings to turn out the lights at night. Cleaning crews come before day light and remove their bodies from the streets and sidewalks. HOWEVER, they did not die because they wanted to beat out the light.
