The primary reference to an eagle is as a descriptor or an illustration of such things as fierce swiftness and strength. It is NEVER used as a reference to prophetic wisdom or vision. Other than King Saul (2 Sam 1:23 where Saul and Jonathan are referred to as "swifter than eagles"), that are no prophets or seers that were likened to an eagle. | |||
