The Angel's Message

The Angel of the Lord met William Branham to commission his ministry, and confirmed his ministry with signs and miracles. The Angel's commission (in chronological order) is as follows:

1916 "Don't never smoke, or drink, or defile your body in any way. There'll be a work to do when you get older"
1933 "As John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of the Lord Jesus, you are sent to forerun the second."
1946 "As the prophet Moses was given two signs, so will you be given two signs. First will be that you'll be able to detect diseases by your hand, taking the patient by the right hand in your left. And if you'll get them to believe you and be sincere when you pray, nothing shall stand before your prayer, not even cancer." "Then if you'll be sincere with that, it will come to pass that you will tell them the secrets of their heart."

The Angel started to instruct William Branham in the scriptures at this point, which continued throughout his ministry.

1963 "Go back to the East, right away, and bring those Seven Seals. For the complete Word is revealed now in these seven mysteries."
1963 A sword was placed in his hand and a voice said: "That is the King's sword." The sword represents the Word of God.

After the Angel's last comission, William Branham returned to Jeffersonville, Indiana and preached a sermon on each of the Seven Seals.

Evidence and Purpose of the Angel's Commission

The sermons William Branham preached, including the Seven Seals, were always vindicated by supernatural signs and healings, many of which were recorded on audio and video recordings. Shortly after William Branham preached the Seven Seals, Life Magazine published a picture of a mysterious cloud over Arizona at the time of the Angel's visit.

William Branham's sermons are the Angel's message relayed to the World. The message is to call people from organized religion, and guide them back to the revelation of Jesus Christ in fulfillment of the following scriptures:

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
Malachi 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Who is the Angel of the Lord?

The Angel of the Lord appears a number of times in the Bible, in both the Old and the New Testaments. It was the Angel of the Lord that met Moses in the burning bush and comissioned his ministry. It was also this same Angel that met Paul on the road to Damascus, and comissioned his ministry. The Angel of the Lord also appears throughout the scripture, each time for the purpose of commissioning someone for service, preserving life, or executing judgement. The Angel of the Lord revealed His Name to Moses as the "I Am", and His Name to Paul as "Jesus".
