I almost forgot to tell you how it is we are qualified to examine someone’s ministry, someone who proclaims to be a prophet of God… we are EACH OF US INDIVUALLY responsible for our own salvation:
Galatians 6:5-10 (HCSB)
5  For each person will have to carry his own load.
6  The one who is taught the message must share all ⌊his⌋ good things with the teacher.
7  Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows he will also reap,
8  because the one who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
9  So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.
10  Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.
And –
Philippians 2:13 (HCSB)
13  For it is God who is working in you, ⌊enabling you⌋ both to desire and to work out His good purpose.
And remember that to which we are exhorted by John the Evangelist:
1 John 4:1 (HCSB)
1  Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
As we are instructed by God’s Word to be watchful and to understand “His good purpose”, we not only have the authority, but we have the OBLIGATION to examine that which we are told to be sure it places us closer to God’s Word.  We are not tired of our obligations.
