The following tongues and interpretation was given at the start of the sermon "The Message of Grace", preached by William Branham on August 27, 1961, in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Interpretation of the Prophecy spoken in an unknown language
Again I have spoken to you this morning by My Spirit;
again calling to your remembrance that I will talk to you this morning by the voice of My prophet.
I have given him a message this morning that might even be strange to him.
Yet it has been ordained of Me that your understanding might be made fruitful;
that you might look upon My Work of Righteousness that I am working in My Church this day;
that your hearts might be lifted up;
that your understanding might be made fruitful;
that you might be receptive to these things that I am going to speak to you this morning;
that you might become encouraged in The Way that I desire you to walk in;
that you might lift up your voices in praise and thanksgiving to Me at the close of this service and know that I have been here,
that My Spirit is in the midst of you, even now.
Look unto Me, the True and the Living God because I am standing in the midst this morning.
I am rejoicing with you in My Spirit
and I will lift you this morning by my strong right hand
to the place where you can represent and walk beside Me in Heavenly Places,
because My desire this morning is unto you,
that your hearts might be lifted up,
that you might rejoice with Me in spirit
and gain this mighty knowledge
and this spiritual wisdom
and the understanding that you're going to need
when the time comes that the persecution that's going to come just before I Rapture my Bride.
You will not endure My wrath My children,
but persecution will come upon you, beset you on many sides.
You will be tried but if you will lift up your hands,
and raise your voices in My behalf and testify,
when the going is hard I will come down and listen to you.
I will ward off of you the evil devices of the wicked one
because I have spoken to you by my Spirit
and if you will listen to My Voice,
as I plead with you this morning you will have no cause to regret it,
Thus Saith My Spirit."
