Jean Mbaya, the pastor of Sion Tabernacle, a message church in Kinshasa, DRC, was found guilty of the murder of Esther Kalonji. He was sentenced to fifteen years in prison but his sentence has been appealed as being too lenient.

    Judgment

After months of investigation (between March and August 2021 ) in the case of the death of Sister Esther Kalonji, it has been reported that Pastor Jean Mbaya was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 15 years in prison. After the decision, the Public Prosecutor has apparently appealed the sentence, considering it was insufficient given the gravity of the finding against Pastor Jean Mbaya Kalala.

SUBJECT: HOMICIDE CONNECTED TO PASTOR JEAN MBAYA

The following are statements of Pastor Jean Mbaya, the police commander and the captain of the police regarding the death of Esther Kalonji.

JMUT NEWS also released a photo of Esther Kalonji, who was allegedly killed by Pastor Jean Mbaya.

JMUT NEWS is in contact with several sources on this subject.

Many brothers claim that the pastor really killed her and others defend the pastor.

Yesterday Pastor Jean Mbaya was interviewed in jail and categorically denied the accusations saying the following:

"While I was sanctifying myself, I was told that there is a problem and I decided to get there asking for the accuracy of the place where the problem was and they told me that if you were called it was because we found your number on her phone. Soon I arrived and I saw the sister lying there and dead. I picked up her things that were on the floor and decided to go to the police "

The police commander was also interviewed and he categorically denied Pastor Jean Mbaya's version, saying the following:

"I got there and my agent told me about it, I ran and wanted to know what it was. Some gentlemen shouted at me, saying that a car had killed someone, and, in the process, Pastor Jean Mbaya's tire was punctured. I arrested the pastor and took him to the police station. I went back and found the young woman with a cord around her neck. I called the local government prosecutor and we took the body to the morgue. Arriving at the morgue, we found a big wound on her neck.
I went back to where the pastor was and soon I saw a briefcase in the pastor's car and in it was the woman's underwear and shirt. The pastor said that he was going to give my colonel and I money, a sum ofwith 72,000 CDF (Congolese Francs)."

    The police captain said:

"I was at the police station and someone told me they had found a body near a Jeep. We went there and found the body on the ground and we found the Jeep (car) too. In his car, we found the other pair of shoes of the girl. In the pastor's phone, we found a video in which the pastor spoke to the young woman, dressed in the same clothes that we found in her briefcase. We found the young woman's briefcase in the pastor's car and the pastor wanted to bribe us but we refused the money."

The woman's body has wounds indicating that it was not simply a hit by a car.

They even showed money that was in the woman's briefcase.

Everything indicates that it is not a hit-and-run but a murder with the body found on the road.

    Please pray for the situation.

Logo cheguei vi a irmã estendida e morta.

    Palavras do pastor Jean Mbaya

Privei o pastor e o levei-o a esquadra.
Regressei onde estava o pastor e logo vi a pasta dela no carro do pastor e lá entrei a cueca, a blusa da jovem e encontramos a roupaa, fio, luva e martelo.

    Palavras do capitão
